About Me (super abbreviated version)

I graduated in 1992 from Anderson University with a double major in Social Science and Secondary Education. My first job was working for Antioch College in Ohio as an environmental educator at the Glen Helen Nature Preserve, which included overseeing the live animal exhibits.

In the summer of 1993 I got married, to a Canadian and moved up North where I started teaching high school, English Media and Computer Science.  Eventually one summer I went to work for a friend in the advertising world  and  was instantly hooked.

Over the course of my career I’ve worked with a variety businesses from casino’s and car companies, to ad agencies and banks. The experience I gained was invaluable. It was during this time however that I discovered, much to my surprise, that they all seemed to lack a credible way to determine the success of an ad campaign. It did not matter how big or how small the organization was, how creative the promotion had been or even how large the team was working on the project – no one really knew how to, or even why they should stop and figure out multiple ways to measure success and failures. The agency was tasked with developing creative and cool looking promotions, but rarely were we asked to help put together any kind of success metrics. If sales went up all was good, true enough, but we had no way of knowing which component of the campaign was causing an increase in sales; radio, print, web, TV, etc.

In 2004 I went back to school to earn my MBA from the University of Windsor. The day I graduated, I quit job and started my own agency. This was without a doubt the most exciting and challenging time in my life.  After two years I sold the company and moved my family to hills of Tennessee, for a new and greater challenge.

Currently, I’m serving as the Director of Marketing for Dave Ramsey’s Live Events, coordinating everything from TV to Twitter and loving every second of it. I have the opportunity to work everyday with some of the best creatives, designers, videographers, and web marketers in the country. The growth I have seen in myself personally and professionally over these years has been amazing and rewarding.

I am also the producer of Dave Ramsey’s EntreLeadership PODCAST. We are the #1 PODDCAST on iTunes for business and got as high as the #2 downloaded PODCAST for all of iTunes at one point.
